The Instructor
Ms. Valentina Bransburg, a Russian-born concert
pianist, graduated from the prestigious Academy of Music in 1970
with a Master’s degree. She taught and performed extensively
throughout her native country until 1979 when she decided to
emigrate to the US. On the way, she continued to perform extensively
throughout Europe, including Italy, Switzerland, and Austria, where
she worked with the Vienna Opera.
Upon arrival in New York in 1981, Ms. Bransburg immediately resumed
her performing and teaching activities. She became affiliated with
highly accredited schools such as the Manhattan school of Music and
Hebrew Art School, and worked with many prominent violinists. Her
concert activities included numerous acclaimed performances in
concert halls such as Federal Hall, Comi Hall, Merkin Hall, and
other venues in New York City and state.
In 1990s, Ms. Bransburg's career took her again to
Europe where she worked in the Zurich Opera theater, and taught in
the Sir James School of Music in Milano, Lugano and other cities of
Northern Italy.
Ms. Bransburg currently resides in Northen Virginia where she
continues her education and performing activities. She has performed
at Strathmore, Austrian and other embassies, and other concert halls
in the metropolitan areas. She also participates in various chamber
groups and orchestras.
